One of the most important issues in the aquaculture industry today is bio-security and the
prevention and control of infectious diseases in the aquatic environment and fish farms.
To prevent the spread and eliminate the possibility of new outbreaks, we disinfect every
net pen that arrives at our service facility.

Every net pen without exception is disinfected by being submerged in a temperature controlled
disinfection tank.
The
disinfection tank is automatically controlled to maintain a water temperature of 65 degrees celcius.
Net pens are totally submerged in the 65 degree hot water bath for a period of at least 20 minutes to ensure
the destruction of any unwanted pests and diseases. Our hot water disinfection process has been proven
effective in killing the ISA virus and other aquaculture diseases without damaging nets. Combined with our
comprehensive bio-security strategy, our net disinfection process provides a level of environmental
responsibility and security that is unmatched by any of our competitors.
